Dominica is an Australian-born, San Francisco Bay Area based data analyst, programmer, actor, improviser, and writer, with a background in stand-up comedy, filmmaking, and web development. She recently received a Certificate in Data Analytics from UC Berkeley Extension, is a former tour guide, and runs the improvisation-inspired business Improvative Productions.

Currently, Dominica’s main blog topic focuses include social psychology, relationships, entertainment media content and representation, and her hobbies and other interests. She loves thinking deeply and critically about all sorts of issues, and being autistic gives her a sometimes unique perspective in the world.

For her improvisation and acting training, she studied with Leela (having been through all of their level classes, and performed with YUM for over two years), and Marcus Sams for improvisation, and had ongoing film acting training with Jeffrey Weissman.

As a writer and publisher, Dominica published her first novel, Adrift in 2013, was shortlisted for best anthology with the Aurealis Awards for her debut anthology Amok: An Anthology of Asia-Pacific Speculative Fiction, recently completed her second anthology, Marked by Scorn: An Anthology Featuring Non-Traditional Relationships, and has had numerous short stories published elsewhere. Her publications are released through Solarwyrm Press, and focus on character diversity.
